Ellen is the owner of Pilates Sheen. She qualified as a physiotherapist in 1996 and trained with Brent Anderson of Polestar Pilates in 2001 . Ellen is certified with Polestar Pilates, the National Pilates Certification Program and is a current member of the Pilates Method Alliance. Ellen is a Musculo-skeletal specialist physiotherapist.
Ellen likes to work with people who find it difficult to exercise due to pain or illness. She has extensive experience of working with joint hyper-mobility, osteoporosis, low back pain, arthritis, pre and post natal and elite athletes. Physiotherapy Rehabilitation in the Pilates studio can be really beneficial if you have had surgery or fractures and are working on regaining strength, improving your alignment or are at a low level of fitness with medical conditions. Ellen has over 25 years of working as a physiotherapist so a programme in the studio can be tailored to your specific needs. In addition to using the Pilates equipment the program can include balance retraining, functional fitness, weights and plyometric training.
Ellen is at Pilates Sheen on Mondays and Wednesdays and Pilates Richmond on Tuesdays and Fridays. Clinical Pilates is suitable if you require 1:1 rehabilitation post injury or surgery or your health requires more clinical management of your exercise programme. Once you have reached a good level you can be referred to one of the Pilates instructors to continue your programme.

Gus graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2014. His experience wide ranging. He's worked in various NHS and private settings in England, but also in the French Alps, Madrid, and Tanzania. Currently, Gus works part-time at Kingston Hospital, as well as doing some private work in Central London. His main passion is using movement and exercise to help unlock long-term improvements in people. Enabling them to maintain their improvements with autonomy and confidence!
